Lily-Boo Too New Challenge Blog

This is first month for the all new Lily-Boo Too Challenge site. If you haven't guessed yet then the challenge this month is to make a 'New Home' card. There is one month to complete this lovely challenge, but I will admit that I coming in a bit late, as it's nearly the end of the month!!
If you don't currently own any of the lovely Lily-Boo images, then don't fret as Sam has provided a free download of this lovely house to work with. There is also a recipe to go with this one and it is......................2 Ribbons, 3 Flowers and 4 Brads.
For my card I coloured in the image using my Promarkers, but thought I would try and stick to pastel colours. I placed the image on the inside of my card and cut out a circle aperture on the front and then covered this with a little bit of acetate to create a window effect. I have managed to stick to the recipe...................I had to go back and count all flowers and brads! Below is a little dimensional shot so you can see the window. I have made the flowers myself using paper punches.
Recipe:
Image - Lily-Boo
Papers - Papermania Sweet Nothings
Ribbons - From my stash
Tools - Fiskars Shape Cutter, Flower Punches, Fiskars Shape Scissors, Promarkers
Sentiment - Royal Langnickel Home Rub ons
Oh, update on Pinata................... it's taking shape now. I have the ears on and the legs, I was a little worried that it looked like a cat but I think I might get away with it!! There is still paste covering my kitchen cabinets but hopefully I will be able to seal it up soon. I will take a piccy once finished, believe me you don't want to see it at the moment. That's it from me. Toodles Nettie.x

FunkyHand Monthly Challenge

Wooohoo I'm back..............I know I bet you didn't believe I would be. I'm on a roll so don't stop me now. This challenge card is for the Get Funky monthly challenge. September's challenge is as follows...............
Two Little Boys
Both my boys have their Birthdays in September - Jacob will be 4 and Samuel will be 6.
So my challenge is to make a boy themed card, layout, project or what ever you fancy as long as it is aimed at a boy and uses a Funky Hand paper or extra.
I have used the gorgeous Edwin holding a bunch of roses for this little card, but as it wouldn't be cool for a boy to be holding the roses I did cut them out. I have layered the clothing on Edwin with papers from FunkyHand, they are from the Salt and Pepper collection. I have used the same collection for the whole card.
I tried to keep this card as cool as I could, as we know the boys don't like the frills and pretty colours like us girls!! I've tried to keep the same theme for the inside of the card, so I hope it can stand up there with the rest of you crafty ladies.....
Recipe:
Papers - FunkyHand Salt & Pepper
Peel off from my collection...Sorry not sure where from
Image - Edwin from Magnolia
Embellishments - Papermania
Right I've passed my record of one post a day, I'm off to do some channel flicking..................Take care Nettie.x

Passion for Promarkers Challenge Week 17

Yeah, managed to get here eventually!!! Look at this cute fella. He's from the Spring Bear's digital downloads at Scrapbookingmad. They loads of great character and they are fab to colour, especially with Promarkers.
Over at Passion for Promarkers this week (now on week 17) the theme is......................'Polka Dots' and you can colour using any colours you have. This is really useful if you have got the full set yet like me. I really enjoyed this one, but I still feel there's something missing.....................too late now.
I kept the colours quite simple on this one as they are so bold. I'm sending this card to an old colleague of mine who lives in Portsmouth and we always have plenty to say to each other, so I thought I better leave enough room inside to ramble on...................like I'm doing now.

Recipe:
Paper - Funkyhand Salt & Pepper
Image - Scrapbookingmad Spring Bear
Lettering - Sizzix Wingo Zingo
Embellishments - Mainly from Papermania & Anita's
I might pop back in a while with another card challenge..................see how I get on. Oh just a little giggle for you. My nephew is 4 next week and he has demanded a Pinata Dog for his party, so you guest it crafty fingers here had a go today..............What a messy craft..............It looks like an alien is hanging out on my washing line at the moment. I have several layers to go yet. Will try and take some pic's to make you laugh. I think I got more on me and the kitchen top than the balloon. Speak soon Nettie.xx

Well it's Week 15 over at Passion for ProMarkers this week and I'm just scrapping in with this one. Also if you want to see some fantastic tutorials on how to use ProMarkers then please take a look at their site, because they are definitely worth the look.I have used the beautiful Magnolia stamp with cat for this one, anything with cats in is a must for me.
