Polkadoodles Alter It

Yes Ruth, it's Friday again!! Ruth has set us the challenge of Altering something. I have decided to go all classy.......yep you guessed it I have altered Toilet Rolls, lol.
Four to be presice. I had seen people use toilet rolls to make mini albums before and always wanted to try it. So here is my version. Now I may bore you with too many pictures, but hey I'm just trying to show you everything. This mini album is of my nephew's 4th Birthday party, Sydney.
I have used the new CD from Polkadoodles which is named All Around and Everywhere. It's fab if you haven't already seen this on Create and Craft. Also if you loved the Back to Nature CD, then your sure to love this one. Lot's of great characters too.
I'm sorry about the unattractive picture of my sister but hey we do like to be silly. Especially when we have an excuse like a kids party. To place the rolls together then I used my Bind It All machine. Here are the tags that slot into the ends of the rolls.
This week has been a difficult one as hubby lost his job this week, so making this little album was a little bit of fun. I just hope that Sydney likes it. I'm sure he will as he's a sentimental little fella. I really can't wait to see what you all ALTER. Take care Nettie.xx

Polkadoodles Monochromatic

Wow, what a week it's been. Packed full of so many fun things and what a great birthday I had too. Thank you to everyone for making it special.
Back to normality it's mine turn again to set the theme for the Polkadoodle's challenge. I have gone for a Monochromatic theme, so I want to see cards made using the same colour but it's up to you how many shades of that colour you use. My colour is Purple................
I have used the gorgeous Babsie which is one of the Fairy Flutterfly stamp sets, which can be found on the Polkadoodles website to purchase. I really love the flowers and I have tried to add a touch of bling to this card.
Today see's the launch of the new Polkadoodles CD All Around and Everywhere. Nikky will be on create and craft at 10am so if you are able to please take a look, the new CD is well worth the look. The team have been playing for a little bit, so you may see some of the samples on the show.
I will pop back later for a pregnancy update and I have some more scan pictures for you, which by now are a little out of date but hey hum.
Thank you for all your lovely comments. Nettie.xx

Polkadoodles Animal Madness

This week's theme over at Polkadoodles is Animals!!! I think I have played it safe with this card, but the DT have created some fantastic cards so please check them out.
I used the bird from the Love and Cherish CD for this one and then coloured in with my trusty Promarkers. The rest of the care is made using the Back to Nature CD. I just love the those funky trees.
Nikky has some new Fairy Flutterfly Stamps over at the shop, they are adorable. We have been let loose with a select few, so I shall be making sure you can see these at a later date. I have stamped them up. I just need to get to colouring. Unfortunately yesterday was a whole day spent at Kings College Hospital for appointments and then further hours in London's wonderful traffic.
Here is a quick view of the inside, which I have kept fairly simple. I'm hoping to have a day of crafting tomorrow, but you never know what's going to turn up and spoil the day. Can't wait for the weekend as hubby has planned birthday celebrations which go through the weekend and on to my birthday on Monday. Yipee. Take care.xx

Polkadoodles Wedding Card

It's Polkadoodle time again...............and this week it's Kerry's turn to set the tone. We have been asked to make a wedding card, we have all used the Love and Cherish CD for this one.
This cute couple come already coloured in or you can colour them yourself like I have. I have used my ProMarkers for this card and gone with a square card. The main colours are lilac and green.
I added a bit of bling to the dress with some pink glitter. I also added some detail on the inside with some of the same patterned paper.
The weather has been gorgeous here this week, so I took to the garden. For the first time ever I should add. I'm not a keen gardener, but so far this year I have managed to grow my own plants from seeds and tomatoes (well the tomatoes aren't here yet). So I'm really chuffed, lets just hope I can keep it up. Take care peeps and speak soon. Nettie.xx

Polkadoodles - Ruth's Birthday!

Hello peeps, how is everyone doing?? It's Polkadoodles time again..........did you catch this weeks show on create and craft?
This week it's Ruth's birthday and she has set us the task of making her a birthday card, so Ruth here is my card to you....................
I have used the Paper Boutique CD again. I really love the diversity of it. I adapted this image slightly and layered it up. I cut a small square card 4'' in size, so quite dinky for me. The front of the card I cut in a curved edge, to give it a different shape. All of the flowers, tags and papers are from the same set on the CD.
Of course I had to add my usual bling for Ruth, but overall I kept it very simple. I love the papers from this collection, so so girly.
Pregnancy update for you all, I'm gone 22 weeks now. Is this where the time just flys by?? It feels like it. I finally managed to pluck up the courage to watch 'One born every minute' last night. I think I have been in denial thinking that the baby is just going to magically pop out, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Peanut is giving me plenty of kicks and karate chops now. Although everytime Chris goes to have a feel it stops, ha ha.
Any hum, hoping to see lots of birthday cards this week. Take care Nettie.xx
