Hey peeps, we are back with another Polkadoodles challenge this week and this week Nikky is taking the reins. She has set the team the task of making a card which could be used for both a male or female and all you need to do is use at least two Polkadoodle products.
I think I may have cheated just slightly on this one.....................................as I have made a Wedding Card.
I have used the Love and Cherish CD for this one and stuck with the black and white theme. I have used my border punch from Stampin Up and some Sizzix lettering.
Have you taken part in our massive colouring competition yet???? No, then please check out this week's post as Nikky has another fantastic tutorial on Aqua Markers for you and don't forget that you could be in with a chance of winning a full set of the lovely Aqua Markers. I'm short on time this week, so sorry it's a short post. Can't wait to stop by your blogs this week. Take care Nettie.xx

Polkadoodle Christmas in July
Yes it is still July and yes you did read this right, our theme this week is Christmas in July!! Kris is setting our challenge this week over at Polkadoodles and our theme is Christmas, ho ho ho.
But before I go on to explain my card this week, have you been over to Polkadoodles challenge site??? No, then pop on over there quickly and then come back. Nikky has managed to get Letraset to give us a full set of Aquamarkers to giveaway as first prize. She also has some runner's up prizes also. I wish I had the chance of winning these beauties. To be in with a chance of winning these fantastic markers then pop on over to see what you have to do, to bag yourself some of these. I only wish I was able to enter.
This little make was created when our new CD Paper Boutique 2 was launched. I have as you can see created a side step card for this one. The flowers are from the Poinsetta template and I have printed these flowers onto some of the red papers from the same CD. Once cut out they are so easy to layer up.
The sentiment is also one of many from the CD. I have inked up the edges on both the leaves and the flowers. If you haven't already seen this CD, then it's a must for all your Christmas card makes. You could make batches of several of these different templates and be well prepared for the Christmas season.
Sorry this is a short post from me today, but things are a little busy at the moment...............Take care and I hope to see you joining in our challenge this week. Nettie.xx

Baby Announcement Cards
Well as promised here are the baby announcement cards I have been working on...........................................
This cute little baby and pussycat digi-stamp is from Squigglefly, there are some other images in this collection too. I have coloured these images in using my Promarkers. I couldn't resist this image because as you know I already have two babies, which are my beautiful cats. Not sure how they are going to react to a screaming baby yet............
These are pocket card, with a little tabbed card on the inside. My plan is to pop a picture of baby on the inside piece of card. The dotty papers are from Pink Petticoat, which come in a range of colours but I have used Daffodil and Silver.
The tab is a Stampin Up punch which I have had for a while. I have made 30 of these announcement cards, in preparation for Peanut entering the world. Just have to finish off the Thank you cards now. I hope the sun is still shining for you, where you are. Take care and catch up with me on Friday for a fantastic competition over at Polkadoodles this Friday.xx

Summer Cricket Card
Hello everyone, sorry I have been lacking in the blogging department but I have a bit slow lately. I'm now 38 weeks pregnant, so literally counting down the days till little one is here. Plus the heat is a little hard to take at the moment.
I was asked by my gorgeous cousin to make a card for his dad, who is a big cricket fanatic. I have used George, who is part of a sports pack over at Charmed Cards & Crafts. I have coloured in George using my Promarkers. I wouldn't normally make a gate-fold card, but that's the way I went with this card.
I have kept the card fairly simple, as we all know that men don't like fussy cards. I generated the sentiment on my computer and crumpled it up and then put it in place with a couple of brads. Here is a quick view of the inside, I used my Martha Stewart punch for the fence inside.
Over at Dottie's World the challenge is to make a Summer card and you need to use a Charmed download. Being that cricket is a summer sport I hope this card fits in well with their challenge.
I have been busy making baby announcement cards too, so I will take a picture of them soon and share them with you all. Also this Friday don't forget to check out the Polkadoodles challenge as we are going to be having a major competition that you won't want to miss out on. Take care for now. Nettie.xx

Polkadoodle Fairy Flutterfly
Woohoo I hear you cry, yes it's Friday again and time for another Polkadoodle challenge. Have you seen those cute Fairy Flutterfly's from Polkadoodles? No, then pop on over to the Polkadoodle shop for a quick browse. Lou is setting the challenge this week and she has asked us to use the Fairy Flutterfly stamps to create our card image, background and sentiment.
Isn't she cute!! I stamped Maggie out twice and coloured her using my Promarkers. I then stamped her butterfly wings onto acetate to give them some extra dimension. I have also added some small red gems to the wings.
I stamped the Wish sentiment stamp several times in different colours onto plain paper. Which created my background. The orange spotty paper is from the All Around & Everywhere CD. The little fence at the bottom is my Martha Stewart punch, which I love. Martha Stewart punches can also be found on the Polkadoodle's shop.
I love the toadstools and flowers that also come with this set. So cute...................can't wait to see your creations this week. We will be popping along to your blog's to leave you some Polkadoodle love. Take care Nettie.xx

Polkadoodle's Summer Theme
Do you feel in the mood for Summer?? Well we have been having the weather for summer lately..............Over at Polkadoodles Enfys has set us the challenge of a summer themed card. When I think of summer I think of lots of flowers in bloom and bright skies.
So come on, what do you think of when you picture summer?? Join in with our challenge this week, we loved to see your cards or projects. Take care Nettie.xx
I have used the All Around & Everywhere CD for this one. There is a fab range of flowers to be had on this CD, which are ready to cut and stick. I have used some narrow ribbon for the stems on the flowers and I have fringed the paper to give it a grass look, isssh.
I also cut out one of the sentiments from the CD and cut and a circle on my card, so that I could make the sentiment spin. You can't really see this from the photo, but I promise it does spin. So come on, what do you think of when you picture summer?? Join in with our challenge this week, we loved to see your cards or projects. Take care Nettie.xx

Polkadoodle Decorative Item
I'm back for another Friday Polkadoodle challenge and this week and the oh so talented Claire has set our theme this week. Which is .........................a Decorative Item.
I decided to make a door hanger for the Baby's room, as we don't know the sex of the baby I have kept it simple.
I decided to make a door hanger for the Baby's room, as we don't know the sex of the baby I have kept it simple.
The paper is from the All Around & Everywhere CD and the cutie owl is from the Back to Nature CD, which can be found on the Polkadoodle webesite. The letter's are cut out with my Sizzix and are from the Love Letter set. Then I have just distressed some of the edges.
I hope you managed to see the Create & Craft show last Sunday, which debued Nikky's new CD. If you didn't then your in luck because she back on our screen's on Wednesday at 9am. So that's the new Creative Christmas Paper Boutique CD. If you want a sneaky peek, then pop on over to the Polkadoodles gallery.
I hope you have all been enjoying this warm weather, me not so much but hey it always make's you feel good when the sun shines. I have been enjoying watching Andy Murray at Wimbledon this year, what I wouldn't give to be there watching. Anyhoo enough rambling, hope to catch up with you all and see what you create for our challenge this week. Take care Nettie.xx
